Stacking the Shelves (159) - But......nope, I got no excuses

Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves or TBR piles, may it be physical or virtual.  This means you can include books you buy in a physical store, online, books you borrow from the library or friends, review books, gifts and of course, ebooks! The original meme was started over at Tynga's Reviews. And it now has a new co-host where individuals can link up as well - Marlene from Reading Reality.  Clicking on the book (or title) should take you to the Goodreads page.  I'm also now linking up with the Sunday Post which is hosted by Kimberly@Caffeinated Book Reviewer

So remember that small haul I had last week.  Well, just keep that in mind!

So Thursday I had to drive all over town looking during my lunch hour looking for a NFL draft book for my sick husband - the things we do for love!  I ran into the local bookstore as a last ditch effort (SCORE) and these were near the checkout and of course once you see the covers, you'll know why they had to go home with me.  I didn't care for the "Inhumans" series but did fall in love with this zany character.

Then of course I saw a few books on sale at Amazon for Paul Anka (aka Kindle).  "Sherlock Holmes and the Shadewell Shadows" has been on my wishlist for some time  and "Dante's Town of Terror" was free and looked fun.  I also grabbed "The Dolocher" for free.

The next 4 were library grabs - "The Shape of Water," "Tyler Johnson Was Here," "Sunburn," and "City of Brass."

And of course, a few review copies slipped in. I wished for "A Study in Treason" and then forgot about it but it came through.  I had to have "You Lucky Dog" for a summer reading escape.  It looks like a wonderful summertime book.  I've read a book or two from Dave Berry YEARS ago and think it's great he's written a dog memoir called "Lessons from Lucy."  And finally, tell me what crazy horror love could pass up "Hark! The Herald Angels Scream?"  It has some awesome authors such as Christopher Golden, Seanan McGuire, and Sarah Pinborough to name a few.

So there you have it.  Another "NO EXCUSES" book haul.  What did you add to your shelves this week???

    1. I really have an awesome library. They have 2 branches in my town alone so if I ask for something, usually one of them will order it in.
