Can't Wait Wednesday (183)

Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings to spotlight highly anticipated books.  It is based on the Waiting on Wednesday meme which used to be hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

SYNOPSIS: Deep in a Wyoming mine, hell awaits. Nat Blackburn is given an offer he can't refuse by President Teddy Roosevelt. Tales of gold in the abandoned mining town of Hecla abound. The only problem - those who go seeking their fortune never return. Along with his constant companion, Teta, a hired gun with a thirst for adventure, Nat travels to a barren land where even animals dare not tread. Black-eyed children, strange lights and ferocious wild men venture from the deep, dark ghost mine...as well as a sinister force hungry for fresh souls.

WHY I CAN'T WAIT:  Because it's Hunter Shea and I'm loving all the Flame Tree Press releases!

WHAT BOOK CAN'T YOU WAIT FOR THIS WEEK???

  1. Well, okay, this is not my type of book, but when I read the synopsis, I couldn't help giggling.... Why? Well, because Nat's companion is named "Teta". Pronounced with "e" as in "pet", this name means "boob" in Spanish.... ROFL!!!!

Hope you enjoy this book! I also hope you're feeling MUCH better, and that this word won't make you giggle TOO hard!

HUGS TO YOU AND THE PUPS, AND "WOOF, WOOF" TO THEM!!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)

  6. Just read your comment about 'boob' in Spanish. I bet there's a lot of words like that around that would make us either laugh or gasp in horror!

I can never get used to you guys saying everyone's so spunky! (Get a hanky! lol)

Anyway, now I've lowered the tone... (sorry) Here's my WOW Wednesday post. Jedi, you shall be!

  8. Oh cool! This guy sure writes fast, I swear he publishes three or four books a year! I'm terrified of books with mines and tunnels, so this should be good😁

  19. I've got this same book one under the title of Hell Hole from Samhain publishing. I wonder if they changed any of the story? I'll go ahead and get the paperback if I enjoy my ebook copy.

    1. After posting this I saw later it was a re-release. I'm curious if it's changed too but since I never read the original, I guess I won't know.
