Can't Wait Wednesday (203)

Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings to spotlight highly anticipated books.  It is based on the Waiting on Wednesday meme which used to be hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

FROM GOODREADS: Everyone loves a good ghost story, especially Ellen Datlow—the most lauded editor in short works of supernatural suspense and dark fantasy. The Saga Anthology of Ghost Stories is her definitive collection of ghost stories.

These twenty-nine stories, including all new works from New York Times bestselling authors Joyce Carol Oates, Alice Hoffman, Seanan McGuire, and Paul Tremblay, span from the traditional to the eclectic, from the mainstream to the literary, from pure fantasy to the bizarrely supernatural. Whether you’re reading alone under the covers with a flashlight, or around a campfire with a circle of friends, there’s something here to please—and spook—everyone.

Contributors include: Joyce Carol Oates, Alice Hoffman, Vincent J. Masterson, A.C. Wise, M. Rickert, Seanan McGuire, Lee Thomas, Alison Littlewood, M.L. Siemienowicz, Richard Kadrey, Indrapramit Das, Richard Bowes, Nick Mamatas, Terry Dowling, Aliette de Bodard, Carole Johnstone, Dale Bailey, Stephen Graham Jones, Bracken MacLeod, Garth Nix, Brian Evenson, Jeffrey Ford, Gemma Files, Paul Tremblay, Nathan Ballingrud, Pat Cadigan, John Langan.

WHY I CAN'T WAIT:  First of all I love collections (at least collecting them. I haven't quite mastered reading them yet).  I also love ghost stories and look at the contributors - Seanan McGuire, Paul Tremblay, Alice Hoffman, Garth Nix - the list goes on and on.  At a whopping 816 pages this promises to be a good one!

WHAT BOOK CAN'T YOU WAIT FOR THIS WEEK???

    1. I have started a notebook of ratings for when I read short stories. I always have difficulty reviewing the book when I'm done and the time I tried that method, it did help.

    1. Yea I would buy it for her alone. Have you read Sparrow Hill Road and The Girl in the Green Dress by her? They are ghost centered and really good. I would highly recommend.

  18. I?m amazed, I have to admit. Rarely do I come across
a blog that?s both educative and entertaining, and let me
tell you, you have hit the nail on the head.
The problem is something which too few folks are speaking intelligently about.
I am very happy I came across this during my hunt for something relating to
    this.

  19. Hi, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just
curious if you get a lot of spam responses? If so how do you reduce it, any plugin or anything you can suggest?
I get so much lately it's driving me insane so any help is very much appreciated.
