Dog Days of Summer 2019 Wrap Up

I want to thank La La in the Library and Jo's Book Blog for hosting this wonderful event for the 3rd time.  As usual, I didn't get nearly enough dog books read but I loved participating and am very happy with how the month went.  I was able to read and review 4 dog books (2 with the help of Cass) and I had a wonderful article from Jan S. Gephardt about our 4-legged friends/family.  Cass participated in all 4 of my Can't Wait Wednesday posts and I am pleased to announce he is now a regular CWW contributor.  Finally, I was able to complete BINGO for La La's contest.  Here is my chart and details.

KISS A DOG ON THE NOSE - Those that know me have to realize not a day goes by where Cass doesn't get at least one kiss on the nose.

POST A DOG PHOTO ON IG WITH #DDOS - I posted one per week.

PET A DOG - Again, see Cass

READ A BOOK WITH A DOG IN IT - I read and reviewed 4 this month!

RETWEET THE POST - DONE!

So if you didn't participate, then you missed all the fun.  But hey, there's always next year!

  1. Well done on your challenge and I'm glad that you enjoyed it! I'm great at getting ready for challenges but not always great about carrying them through!

    1. Thanks! As long as they provide some flexibility I'm okay with them. I stink at the strict ones!

  2. I only managed to get in one dog book and post on IG but at least it was something right! :) You did really good!

  3. You did great, these events just fly by and even when I think it might be fun to participate, they're over before you know it. Maybe next year??

    1. Yes, you should give it a go. Of course, I'll be doing Puppy Love again in February too.

  4. I will have to try to do this next year, Barb! I spend lots of time everyday petting dogs and kissing their noses. It just has to be done :)

  5. Yes, I missed all the fun - but there is always next year. I've had such a lot going on, loads of books and on top of that my pooch had to go into the vets and have some things done involving being knocked out - which meant I totally lost my head of course. All well now though.

    1. Oh I hope puppy is ok. I know how you feel. When our dogs have surgery, there's no dropping off and picking them up. Our vet pretty much just knows we'll be camping out all day.
