Top Ten Tuesday - Characters That Need More Love

The top 10 weekly meme used to be hosted by The Broke and the Bookish they  handed over the reins to That Artsy Reader Girl who can be found HERE.  Each week she will focus on lists which cover various topics related to books and reading.

This week's topic is characters who should have gotten more love or attention.  You know the ones - side characters that leave you wanting their own book.  Read on to see if I can come up with 10 this week.

I actually have two from this series - PRUDENCE who I think is just awesome, and Sabrina's cousin AMBROSE.

Is it too much to want a MG book featuring ULYSSES the moose???

I would love a prequel book with a story for Diana's Aunts, EM and SARAH.  I think I'd really enjoy more of their backstory.

I've always said JENKS needs his own series.

Okay, so I at least came up with six.  Maybe I'll get to ten one day soon!

Top Ten Tuesday - Books I Read in 24 Hours

The top 10 weekly meme used to be hosted by The Broke and the Bookish they  handed over the reins to That Artsy Reader Girl who can be found HERE.  Each week she will focus on lists which cover various topics related to books and reading.

This week's topic is "Books I Read in One Sitting."  I modified that to ones I've read in 24 hours.  With work, family and demanding pets, one sitting is pretty hard these days.

I usually find romance books quick reads and this one was great!  5/5

This was a wonderful horror book which I don't think gets enough love.  I can't wait to read the author's newest one in August.  5/5

I know people have mixed feelings on this one but for the most part, it worked for me.  4/5

Do I really need to mention anything else about this one?  I rave about it all the time.  5/5

Pretty much all of the Virgin River books I've read so far have been enjoyable, quick reads.  5/5

This cozy mystery was awesome and I can't wait for the sequel which comes out soon.  5/5

I adored both books in this series and with a combo of narrative and comics, it was a really quick read.  5/5

Gotta love Bunnicula!  5/5

This was definitely a one-sitting read and a must for whoever has had a beloved dog drive them mad at times.  4/5

I think thrillers tend to go pretty fast and with this one having a wintry, snowed-in setting, I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.  4/5

So there you have it?  Did any of these books make your list?

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Titles That Are Questions

The top 10 weekly meme used to be hosted by The Broke and the Bookish they  handed over the reins to That Artsy Reader Girl who can be found HERE.  Each week she will focus on lists which cover various topics related to books and reading.

This week's topic is book titles that ask a question. I already know I'll struggle with this one so let's see if I can at least get 5!

This was fun but it did not meet my expectations.  3/5

Honestly I don't even remember reading this one but it looks like something I'd pick up even today.  3/5

I really enjoyed this one but don't think the sequel ever came out.  4/5
(oops, I'm wrong.  2 more books were released)

So okay.  I give up.  I went back 10 years in my reading history and only came up with 3!  I can't wait to see how everyone else does.  I feel like I just failed a test :)

Top Ten Tuesday - Most Anticipated Releases July - December 2021

The top 10 weekly meme used to be hosted by The Broke and the Bookish they  handed over the reins to That Artsy Reader Girl who can be found HERE.  Each week she will focus on lists which cover various topics related to books and reading.

This week I am sharing some of my most anticipated releases for the second half of 2021.  This week's topic could also be called "LET'S WATCH OUR TBR EXPLODE"

Faithless - Hunter Shea/Releasing October 21, 2021
I'm always excited to see a new Shea book on the horizon.

The Book of Accidents - Chuck Wendig/Releasing July 20, 2021.
I must be anticipating this one because I pre-ordered it, something I rarely do.

The Great Gatz - Lauren Baratz-Logsted & Jackie Logsted/Releasing December 7, 2021.
If this one isn't under the Christmas tree this year someone might get hurt!

Stalking Shadows - Cyla Panin/Releasing September 14, 2021.
Gothic Beauty and the Beast retelling?  What's not to love about this one?

Seven-Year Witch - Angela M. Sanders/Releasing August 24, 2021.
The first in this series was one of the best cozy mystery books I've read in a long time.

Red Wolf - Rachel Vincent/Releasing July 27, 2021.
I love this author and Red Riding Hood retellings.  Plus look at that cover!

Mark of the Wicked - Georgia Bowers/Releasing August 10, 2021.
Witches?  Yes please.

So there you have it.  It may only be 7 but that's because I know all of you guys will have additional ones I need to add to my ever-growing list!

Top Ten Tuesday - Books I Read That Made Me Want More!

The top 10 weekly meme used to be hosted by The Broke and the Bookish they  handed over the reins to That Artsy Reader Girl who can be found HERE.  Each week she will focus on lists which cover various topics related to books and reading.

This week's topic is books I've read which made me want more like them.  Not sure if there's a better way to word this but once I start hopping, I'm sure I'll see what you all came up with and think "Yea, that makes more sense!"

T
After finishing this book from Gatz's POV, I immediately wanted more books told from the family pet.

I'm STILL waiting for the second book in this series so I guess you could say I definitely want more like this!

This book did such a good job incorporating mixed media that now I'm a sucker when I see a book includes podcasts, diary entries, police reports, etc.  BTW, if you haven't read this, go do it!

There will never be another book like Hollow Kingdom (and at the time I read it, I didn't know if there would ever be a sequel) but reading this made me wish there were lots more books out there like this one.

After falling in love with the book, I decided I need more TJ Klune in my life. And more Lucy.  Please do a sequel!!!!!

So I'm leaving it a 5 this week but I think they are a great 5.  Can't wait to see everyone else's lists this week!

Thanks for visiting Booker T's Farm!

Top Ten Tuesday - 5 Paw Predictions

The top 10 weekly meme used to be hosted by The Broke and the Bookish they  handed over the reins to That Artsy Reader Girl who can be found HERE.  Each week she will focus on lists which cover various topics related to books and reading.

This week is a freebie topic so I'm doing something I don't think I've done in the past, five paw predictions.

I loved No Exit and have high hopes for this one, which comes out soon.

Here's another thriller I'm reading in June which I hope is more hit than miss.  I've heard great things about the author so I'm predicting I'll love this one.

As much as I loved Hollow Kingdom, I'd be shocked if this is anything less than a 5 paw read!

I've heard only great things about this read and really need to read the copy I have sitting on my shelf.

You know I love Hunter Shea and this will be a perfect October read this year.

As much as I loved Until Summer Comes Around, this has to be just as great, right?

I'm sure the second book narrated by Gatz the dog will be just as great as the first.

I adore this cozy mystery series which is still going strong.  This is the 12th in the series.

Another cozy series with a librarian witch.  I've been waiting not-so-patiently for this 5 paw prediction to hit the shelves.

I've really been enjoying romance lately so my list wouldn't be complete without at least one cute rom-com.

Have any of these been 5/5 ratings for you?  Let me know where I should start in the comments below.
