TTT - Love the Cover, Will Probably Never Read the Book

The top 10 weekly meme used to be hosted by The Broke and the Bookish they  handed over the reins to ThatArtsyReaderGirl who can be found HERE.  Each week she will focus on lists which cover various topics related to books and reading.

This week's topic is redesigned book covers I love/hated.  I really don't have a list for that.  I know I hate it when a series has a cover change midway through, but on the whole not enough to do a whole post.  So I am sharing with you five books covers I love, but will more than likely never read the book.

I've never even started the original series and I don't know that I'll ever get to it so I can't imagine reading this one but I do love that cover!

I really adore this cover but do I love it enough to read the book?

I actually own this one yet have never picked it up.  I know I know, people love it!

This is a newer release and I love the cover more every time I see it.  However, I don't read a lot of high fantasy so even if I THINK I might pick it up, chances are high that I won't.

Another newer release I love the cover of.  Doubt I'll read it though.

So there you have it.  Convince me to read these or else cement my belief that I never will!

  1. It took me several years before I finally read Night Circus. Glad I did. It's a beautiful story.

  4. I'm a big fan of The Night Circus, both the cover and the book.

  5. I did really love The Night Circus, but I'm also a firm believer people should read what they want, not what other people tell them they 'should' read. I do love the covers of The Beholder and The Rage of Dragons. They're the kind of covers that make me want to pick up the book and see what it's about. :)

  7. I read the Night Circus a long time ago. I didn't hate it but I don't remember it very well. I should re-read it. Have a great week.

    1. Since the author finally has a new one coming out, maybe I'll be spurred on to read her first!

  8. I want to read The Night Circus, and Hoopla has it, but I never seem to have the extra time. 😩

Quirk books sent me the Miss Peregrine trilogy in paperback, in fact they accidentally sent me two of the first one, but they were never a priority to me, so I donated then to the library's used book sale. Heh heh. 😏

I have seen some not so great reviews for Rage of Dragons, so maybe you aren't missing anything. Ha ha. 😇

    1. Hey at least someone got to enjoy the Peregrin books right? Maybe I'm not missing anything.

  9. I Capture the Castle is such a lovely quirky book - read it! And then read The Night Circus - one of my favorites ever!

  12. Oh I'm like this all the time, I am attracted to a lot of covers but there are some I know I will never read (happens a lot with YA).

    1. Yes, I seem to fall into that more with YA as well.

  16. Some lovely covers - and yeah, I still haven't read the Night Circus. I've owned it for an age but just haven't prioritised it for some reason. It seems to be a book that you either love or hate and so I think some of the mixed reviews kind of put me off a little.

  17. I just realized I missed this post! I'm totally in agreement with you, sometimes the cover is fantastic but it's just not a story I want to read. I love the first cover, it's really pretty:-)

  18. Great twist on the topic! It's funny how we can be totally mesmerized by beautiful covers but never want to actually read them (or never have time to read them in some case) and all that jazz. I love that cover for Tales of the Peculiar. It's just so gorgeous and captivating and ugh. Just really lovely.

  19. Those are all very catching covers but can't see reading any of them either. lol
