Stacking the Shelves (174)/Sunday Post

Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves or TBR piles, may it be physical or virtual.  This means you cans you cam include books you buy in a physical store, online, books you borrow from the library or friends, review books, gifts and of course, ebooks! The original meme was started over at Tynga's Reviews. And it now has a new co-host where individuals can link up as well - Marlene from Reading Reality.  Clicking on the book (or title) should take you to the Goodreads page.  I'm also now linking up with the Sunday Post which is hosted by Kimberly@Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

So I didn't have a haul last week because I was on Booker T duty.  However, that doesn't mean I didn't accumulate any books.  So basically you're getting the 2-week version here.  First up I had to pick up a few holds from the library.  I've been curious about "You May Now Kill the Bride" and have heard good things about "Scream All Night" and both were new library additions so I grabbed them.  Same for "The Cheerleaders."  I've had "Providence" requested on Overdrive for over a month and it just now came in as well.

I also received a book I ordered a few weeks back.  I ended up finding it on Thriftbooks.  I've wanted "Blood Cruise" forever it seems and since it wasn't available for Kindle, I had to go searching.

And finally, it seems the review books have been pouring in #sorrynotsorry
"Murder by the Book" and "Seances are for Suckers" are starts to new cozy mystery series.  I've heard good things about Taylor Jenkins Reid and "Daisy Jones & the Six" works in the 70's music scene so I was all over that one in a heartbeat.  "The Bus on Thursday" is described as Bridget Jones meets the Exorcist so I couldn't resist #StormiMadeMeDoIt and look at the cover on "Carnival of Fear."   Finally, "What You Hide" is a thriller.

So what did you add to your shelves this week???

  8. The R.L. Stine is a perfect library borrow - I wouldn't say it was anything great, but it was fun and the nostalgia was amazing. Scream All Night was fun too, another great one for a library pick. Super curious about Blood Cruise, I've had my copy for weeks but still haven't found time to check it out, but I like the idea of a cruise ship horror.

  12. I enjoyed The Cheerleaders, although I liked her last book a bit more. I am looking forward to Daisy Jones. What in the world does Bridget Jones meets The Exorcist look like? I can't even fathom what that would be about. Happy reading!
