Stacking the Shelves (24)

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!  The original meme was started over at Tynga's Reviews. Just a few books this week but that's OK.  I just ordered 2 physical books from Amazon and am sure will add to my Kindle over the weekend.

For my Kindle:

I picked these up last weekend when they were marked down. I think each was less than $2.00.

From Edelweiss I received:
A Line of Blood The Pilo Traveling Show The Sparrow Sisters

A Line of Blood: Ben McPherson.  Releases September 29, 2015 from William Morrow
The Pilo Traveling Show: Will Elliott.  Releases September 15, 2015 from Underland Press
The Sparrow Sisters: Ellen Herrick.  Releases September 1, 2015 from William Morrow.  This one has been compared to Practical Magic, which I loved, so I can't wait to read it!

I was approved for a couple on Netgalley this week that I had requested months ago and had figured I was denied and was never notified. That made for a bigger Netgalley Haul this week.

The Dragon Engine The Scorpion Rules Vengeance Road Hoodoo

The Dragon Engine: Andy Remic.  Releases September 1, 2015 from Angry Robot.
The Scorpion Rules: Erin Bow.  Releases September 22, 2015 from Margaret K. Elderry Books.  I have heard a lot about this one.
Vengeance Road: Erin Bowman.  Releases September 1, 2015 from HMH Books for Young Readers.  I have wanted this one FOREVER!
Hoodoo: Ronald L. Smith.  Releases September 2, 2015 from Clarion Books.

OK...silly question.  Do all new books have a release date of September 1st???? The amount of books being released on that date must be ridiculous.

So what did you get this week?  Are you planning on reading any of these.  Leave a comment so I can check out your posts!

  5. I love superhero stuff, so I might have to check out Lexie Dunne's books! Odd, though -- almost exactly the same cover as Auralee Wallace's Sidekick... Anyway, hope you enjoy these!

  10. I heard another blogger mention it recently how many books seem to have a release day of september 1st. I guess it's a popular release day! I haven't heard of most of these books. I saw the Superheroes books on another blog a few weeks ago. But beside that most of these are new to me. I hope you'll enjoy your new books! And have a great week!
