2 Bloggers 1 Series - Hidden Legacy

Yay!  Stormi and I finally finished a series.  Well, let's say we are current because I don't know if the authors plan on writing a trilogy arc focusing on the youngest sister Arabella.  I sure hope they do because this is one I definitely enjoyed all the way through.  So read on to see my thoughts and then and then hop over to Stormi's at Storm Reads to see her's.

FROM GOODREADS:

#1 New York Times bestselling author Ilona Andrews is back with the newest book in the exciting Hidden Legacy series—the thrilling conclusion to her trilogy featuring fierce and beautiful Prime magic user Catalina Baylor.
An escaped spider, the unexpected arrival of an Imperial Russian Prince, the senseless assassination of a powerful figure, a shocking attack on the supposedly invincible Warden of Texas, Catalina’s boss... And it’s only Monday.
Within hours, the fate of Houston—not to mention the House of Baylor—now rests on Catalina, who will have to harness her powers as never before. But even with her fellow Prime and fiancé Alessandro Sagredo by her side, she may not be able to expose who’s responsible before all hell really breaks loose.

MY THOUGHTS:
Wow!  This was an action-packed conclusion to the Catalina/Alessandro arc and I couldn't have been more pleased with how it all played out.  House Baylor finds itself right in the middle of a potentially catastrophic showdown which includes appearances from Linus, the Evil Grandmother, and all of our faves.  In addition, we actually see quite a bit of Cornelius and his daughter Matilda who both possess animal magic and I could only wish they would get a series of their own.

Alessandro is still wanting to take down Arkan, who was responsible for killing his father years ago, and Catalina fears he may lose sight in the process, and she is scared of nothing more than losing him.  I won't want to give much else away plot-wise, but I will say this book does not disappoint.  Along the way we learn quite a bit of backstory on Linus, the Texas Warden and the Evil Grandmother, and we get some new characters from Russia thrown in for extra drama.

I am so glad Stormi convinced me to start this series.  I honestly think I might be heart-broken if it doesn't continue.  I will say though that Book #5 left on a cliffhanger and this book picks up many months afterwards and for a while, I was like "What did I miss?"  I felt like I was losing my mind for a while but did some research and finally found a very short story on the author's website which clued me in.  That's the only reason this book is getting 4 instead of 5 paws.

RATING: 4 PAWS

  3. It would be strange if they didn't write a series for the last sister, wouldn't it? Glad you loved this.
