Weekly Reads (07/15/16)

Hope everyone out there has had a wonderful week.  It sure has been hot here at the farm, but we are all doing well.  Booker T wants to thanks all of you who commented on him being sick for the well wishes and let you guys know he is very much on the mend.  Now that the firework season has died down, hopefully he won't be experiencing much stress on his system until he is completely healed.

We all headed back to work but we still managed to watch a movie or 2 and I actually completed some books which needed to be done a long time ago.  We ended up watching "The Green Room" which was advertised as a horror and although we quite enjoyed it, I would say it as more of a thriller. It starred Patrick Stewart and the late Anton Yelchin, whom I have absolutely adored ever since I watched him years ago in "House of D."  Also, I finally read "Dog Gone" which was great so look for my review next week.

This week is going to be another scorcher so beside visiting Grandpa, hopefully we can relax inside, watch some movies and get some reading done.

Here's what's next on the reading agenda.

Riverkeep Descender Vol. 1 It Happened One Doomsday Madness of Mercury

Hopefully I will at least get 3/4 of these marked off the list this upcoming week.

So what are your plans for the next few days? And once again, thanks for all the kind thoughts for Booker T!!!!!

  1. I've had a week of retail therapy due to an insomnia attack this week. Grr. I bought a pile of apocalypse prepper paperbacks, downloaded 60 free and very cheap urban fantasy ebooks and dvds just to make myself cheer up a bit! I'm glad Booker T is on the mend though-that is good news!

  2. Ooh the cover of Riverkeeper is just THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BASICALLY. AHH. And I hope you manage to stay cool with the hot weather! it's actually unseasonably warm in Australia for winter right now which is weird. XD But hey, not complaining. :P

Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!

  4. I'm glad Booker T is feeling better! Also, I want to see The Green Room. Thanks for the heads up that it's more of a thriller. I would have expected horror for sure.
