TTT - Authors I Follow on Social Media

The top 10 weekly meme used to be hosted by The Broke and the Bookish they  handed over the reins to ThatArtsyReaderGirl who can be found HERE.  Each week she will focus on lists which cover various topics related to books and reading.

This week's topic is author's who have a fun social media presence.  Now I'll be honest, I don't keep up a ton on the whole social media/author thing but there are a few I follow on Goodreads and Twitter and through social media.  So I'm only going to try to come up with five!

HUNTER SHEA
Hunter interacts with his fans a lot through a lot of different social media platforms.  He even has a podcast and monthly newsletter.

STEPHEN KING
Mr. King is not afraid to voice his opinion on numerous issues which makes following him on Twitter so much fun.  He also has a wonderful dog - Evil Molly, whom I love to see and hear about.

ALAN BAXTER
I'm adding Alan to the list because I just read Roo and the while book came about due to an interact with others on Twitter.  Such a fun backstory.  Also, keep an eye out for my review.

KIRA JANE BUXTON
I've had a couple of interactions with Kira on Twitter and she seems like such a great person.  Plus, she has a pet crow and is always showing pictures

JACKIE BOUCHARD
I adore Jackie and her dog Rita.  I've followed and interacted with her for years.

So there you have it.  Can't wait to see who's on your list!

  1. King's dog is called Evil Molly? LOL! I shouldn't be surprised! Seeing that Kira Jane has her own crow, makes Hollow Kingdom make sense!

    1. It just seems to make them more human and let's admit it, I love animals better than people anyway :)

    1. I think he made a lot of lists today and let's be honest, even if people don't like what he says, at least they should respect that he speaks his mind.

  4. No list for me this week! I don't really have time for social media. I do follow authors on Twitter but to be honest, I'm so rarely there that I never see what they post!

  11. Some amazing Twitter people are Sonora Taylor & Sara Tantlinger & Steve Stred. They behave more like people and readers which is why I love following them. Some writers only seem to social media to promote their work which I get but it's not nearly as fun.

  14. I've seen Stephen King on a lot of lists today but since I don't read his books I haven't explored his webpage or social media. It is really hard to follow authors if all they are doing is talking up their books. I like John Green because he uses his celebrity for education on a variety of different topics. My TTT list

  17. For some reason, I didn't think to add Stephen King to my list, but YES! Of course everyone should follow him and, like, Brandon Sanderson, JK Rowling, Anne Rice, etc. You know, the big kahunas of authors. xD

I haven't heard of most of these authors, so now I guess I'll have some new people to check out! Thanks.

    1. I have heard some negative things about Rice and while I have enjoyed some of her books in the past, I don't know that I care to follow her.
