Stacking the Shelves (67) - Halloween in June!

Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves or TBR piles, may it be physical or virtual.  This means you can include books you buy in a physical store, online, books you borrow from the library or friends, review books, gifts and of course, ebooks! The original meme was started over at Tynga's Reviews.  Clicking on the book should take you to the Goodreads page.

I mainly have review books to showcase this week.  I was almost thinking I wouldn't have hardly anything to show you but then Murphy's Law (or ARC law - however you look at it) had several very old requests, and some new ones, all getting approved at one.  And since most of these are horror/thrillers and since all around the US people have "Christmas in July" themes (do they do this elsewhere), I figure why not "Halloween in June."  Tons of people love Halloween right?  So on to the books!

City of Weird Wake the Hollow Little Heaven The Hatching
The Witch's List Dead Souls The Ferryman Institute Deadly Dog Days

See, lots of scary times ahead. I am THRILLED to finally get approved for "The Hatching," and both "The Ferryman Institute" and "Deadly Dog Days" were books I featured on Waiting on Wednesday memes so I'm super stoked to get them as well!

Finally, one of the Marketing and Publicity Managers at Tor put me on the ebook list since I read and reviewed "Pride's Spell" last month and he has sent me some invitations for some interesting looking books. I like horror better than sci-fi but want to branch into that area so if any of you have heard of any of these, please let me know.

The Warren Cold-Forged Flame Impersonations

So overall, a more than great week and I'm gracious to Netgalley/Edeilweiss, the publishers and Tor.

What did you get this week?

  2. I have had my eye on a couple of these but am trying really hard not to ask for any new books right now. The Hatching and Little Heaven look really good. Enjoy all of these!
