Can't Wait Wednesday (122)

Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings to spotlight highly anticipated books.  It is based on the Waiting on Wednesday meme which used to be hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

FROM GOODREADS:
A supernatural superthriller from the author of Let the Right One In
Molly wakes her mother to go to the toilet. The campsite is strangely blank. The toilet block has gone. Everything else has gone too. This is a place with no sun. No god.
Just four families remain. Each has done something to bring them here - each denies they deserve it. Until they see what's coming over the horizon, moving irrevocably towards them. Their worst mistake. Their darkest fear.
And for just one of them, their homecoming.

This gripping conceptual horror takes you deep into one of the most macabre and unique imaginations writing in the genre. On family, on children, Lindqvist writes in a way that tears the heart and twists the soul. I Am Behind You turns the world upside down and, disturbing, terrifying and shattering by turns, it will suck you in.

WHY I CAN'T WAIT: I never read "Let the Right One In" but I did enjoy the movie (at least one version of it but I can't recall which one).  Anyways, I have always wanted to give one of his books a try and this new release pulled me in with the cover.  Plus, it sounds really tense and isn't it the perfect time of year for these kind of reads?

WHAT BOOK CAN'T YOU WAIT FOR THIS WEEK????

  1. I'm dying to read this too, and really sad that there isn't a US release yet. I think this might be UK. Let Me In is seriously one of my all time favorite books, and I LOVED both movies, the US and the Swedish one. I don't think I've ever thought that two different versions of the same movie were just as brilliant.

    1. I don't quite understand. I'm able to order both a hardback and a paperback from Amazon right now (which I didn't check before but after your comment figured I better set about securing a copy).

    2. Chiming in here! I wasn't able to find a copy for sale from Amazon either, but I saw there were a couple of third party sellers on there that you can purchase from. Which is good because I'm definitely intrigue by this book too.

  21. Here I am, Barb!! Thanks SO VERY MUCH for your (and the boys') thoughts and prayers!! Thank God, we got through the storm just fine! I was SO SCARED (see, I'm a BIG chicken, lol) we'd be getting Cat 5 winds, but no. We were out of "the cone of concern", but, since Irma was SO HUGE, we did get some Cat 1 and 2 winds. But we didn't have much damage to buildings. We did, however, have many downed trees, as well as branches. This made me sad, as I ADORE trees!!

We just got our Internet service back, so now I'm able to reply to comments, comment back, and prep some blog posts! So HAPPY about this!!!! :) :) :)

About your feature this (last) week....you already know what I think, lol. I do hope you enjoy it, though!! :)

Thanks for being such a SWEET blogging buddy!! And thanks for commenting on my CWW post!! HUGS TO YOU & THE BOYS, AND WOOF, WOOF TO THEM!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)
