Sci-Fi Summer Readathon Wrap Up

So I participated in the Sc-Fi Summer Readathon for the first time this year which was perfect because one of my resolutions was to read more science fiction.  I managed to read two books which count and although the reviews won't be up until later, I decided to give you a sneak peek.

First up was "To Kill a Kingdom" by Alexandra Christo.  This was a very dark book which is one reason I was excited to pick it up.  I liked it okay, but have to admit I never really felt too attached to the two main characters.  I liked the side characters much more.

Then there was "Jurassic Florida" by Hunter Shea.  Shea is one of my favorite horror authors and I've read quite a few of his books.  This one was tons of fun and I loved it.

Even though I didn't read it during the readathon, I finally got my review for "Outpost" up last week as well as featuring its sequel on Can't Wait Wednesday.  You can find the posts HERE and HERE.  Check them out because I think this sci-fi series needs more love and is a great place for newbies like me to start.

Thanks to Seasons of Reading for hosting!

  1. Yay for trying new things! I didn't do this one because I don't read much scifi at all. I'm stuck in my horror groove right now.

    1. This readathon is so laid back. It's almost like you don't really have to do anything extra.

    1. Your instincts are right. This readathon allowed fantasy as well.
